Good Bye 2024!
Looking back at 2024, it was a year of two halves: quotes climbed hard through the first quarter, peaked in early April, then slid gently for the rest of the year — yet almost everything still closed higher than it opened.
1) From January to early April, the speckled kidney beans quote at Aden jumped from USD 7.50 to USD 9.28 (+24%). Green peas rose the most of all, +20.5% across the year (5.89 → 7.10).
2) The turn came in May: quotes eased back to 8.47, drifted up to 8.61 by mid-summer, then stepped down to 8.37 in September and finished at 8.26 in mid-December — still 10% above the January start.
3) The second half split the ports. Jebel Ali slid all the way from 8.41 to 6.52, ending USD 1.74 cheaper than Aden, while Jeddah and Ashdod dipped in summer and then bounced back above 8.
4) The full-year score at Aden: green peas +20.5%, green peas with carrot +19.5%, white kidney beans +17.5%, red kidney beans (light) +17.0% — beans in general ended the year well above where they began.
The charts tell it plainly: one sharp climb to the April peak, then a long slide that never quite gave the gains back.
All ports followed the same shape in the first half — the move was about the goods, not the route. In the second half the routes took over, and the lines went their own ways.

HELLO 2025!!
1) After two years of climbing quotes, we expect 2025 to open steadier — the December lists already cooled half a step from the autumn.
2) The catalogue keeps growing: more canned vegetables, sauces and spices are moving from samples to full pages.
3) We will keep updating the price lists as honestly and as often as always.
4) Finally, I wish everyone a happy 2025.
GOOD BYE 2024! HELLO 2025!!
